Antique spider brooch moonstone 15ct gold

 This super antique brooch features a large spider set with a moonstone for its body and a baroque pearl for its head. This brooch is quite special as it is made of 15 carat gold stamped 15ct.

The spider measures about 2 cms wide and the brooch is about 5.8 cms long in total .This brooch fastens with an early safety pin type catch.  This piece of antique jewellery dates from the early 1900s , the Edwardian era when moonstones and pearls were most popular.
